I can't remember how many zombie games I've played but it must be a lot but the number of vampire games I've experienced, especially the good ones, I can count on one hand, so imagine my excitement to learn this game. Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong's release is just like its predecessor Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, the game is based on an original pen and paper RPG (yes, that's what your grandparents used to play) and since an action RPG still adheres to the core values of the genre, there's a lot to do in the codex, which is a pretty daunting task, but as is key in this style of game exploration, this isn't a shoot 'em up, it's slower paced and more option based, choosing which is the best action to take or which way of speaking to go is far more important than your shooting accuracy. You could say this is more of a detective game set in the underworld of the Boston vampire community and I think it's a very good game.
