Sackboy is a 3D platformer and certainly the best platformer available for thePlayStation console. The 60fps currently available, the silky smooth gameplay that utilizes the incredible power of the PS5 but not diminished on the PS4, the handcrafted environments have incredible detail from the loose threads that occasionally escape from our hero's well-knit torso. Flora and fauna and beautiful textures, now visible in gorgeous 4K HD, form part of a realistic, immersive world that's everything you've ever dreamed of.
 

Each Area Has Special Challenges
Each level has its own unique difficulty, it's easy to get started so you'll have no problem getting the hang of the controls and combos, but the difficulty increases proportionally as the game progresses. Each area has its own unique challenges and secrets to uncover, so you may want to return to a particular location to make improvements to your overall performance, as there are extra orb and bell rewards around each environment that you get for completing challenges with Sackboy, which you'll need to claim rewards that can be traded for new outfits, and you'll need special large orbs to open doors where you face bosses before reaching the next level.
 

A Complete Breath of Fresh Air
As with Little Big Planet, it has to be said that Sumo digital's Sackboy, A Big Adventure has brought together some incredible voice talent for comedian, actress and all-round funny woman Dawn French and Withnail and I star Richard E Grant, both of whom bring a British flair to the proceedings, combine this with the sometimes laugh-out-loud script and you get a delightful and entertaining game that will make you smile as you play. Always interesting, never repetitive, Sackboy, A Big Adventure is a breath of fresh air.
